The Noble Botryotinia Fuckeliana Semillon Sauvignon Blanc 2015, Australia, 10.4% [Vegan]
Wonderfully complex and indulgent with flavours of lemon curd, mixed peel, ripe tropical fruits and a hint of marmalade from the 'noble rot' or botrytis (for which the scientific name is Botryotinia Fuckeliana, named after the German botanist Karl Fuckel). It is thick and luscious with a beautifully racy line of acidity which adds freshness and balance.
Campbells Rutherglen Muscat NV, Australia, 17.5%
Rich but fresh with plump raisin fruit, toffee notes and hints of orange peel. This is quite simply the best match for Christmas pudding - but you could also try it with Christmas cake, blue cheese, sticky toffee pudding, chocolate profiteroles .........
